Lakelands Overhead Door LLC began in 2011 with one truck, a small shop, and a big vision. Founders James and Kristi Long saw a need in the Greenwood, SC community for dependable, professional garage door service — a company homeowners and businesses alike could trust.

Our Lakelands Overhead Door Story

In those early days, our team worked out of a shop on Sullivan Street. As demand grew, we quickly outgrew that space and moved to 103 Smith Street. By 2016, the business expanded again to our current location at 412 Montague Avenue, Greenwood, SC.

From humble beginnings to becoming one of the region’s leading garage door companies, our growth has been fueled by one thing: a commitment to quality products, expert service, and customer care.

At Lakelands Overhead Door, we believe in more than providing quality garage doors — we believe in supporting the community that supports us. Since we opened in 2011, giving back has been at the heart of our mission.

We proudly donate annually to the Greenwood Shriners for Children, helping to provide care and resources for kids and families in need. Since 2015, we’ve been a Gold Sponsor of the Ninety Six Wildcat Anglers Fishing Team, supporting young athletes as they pursue their passion for fishing. Since 2017, we’ve also sponsored the Anglers For Athletes Fishing Tournament, benefitting the Special Olympics. In addition, we contribute to numerous youth teams, high school sports programs, and local booster clubs every year, continuing our commitment to investing in the next generation.
These efforts reflect our dedication to being more than just a service provider. We’re proud to be an active supporter of the Lakelands community and the organizations that strengthen it.
